The Only Clinic Built for Claims Patients
Claims Doctor is a telehealth-first medical clinic dedicated exclusively to WorkCover and CTP patients in NSW. Same-day video consultations with certificates issued during the call.
Why Claims Doctor Exists
Every year, approximately 123,000 new WorkCover and CTP claims are lodged in NSW. Each of these injured workers and motor vehicle accident victims needs a medical consultation and certificate to initiate or continue their claim.
The current experience is poor. Long GP wait times. Doctors unfamiliar with SIRA documentation requirements. Incomplete or rejected certificates that delay income support. No dedicated pathway for claims patients.
Claims Doctor was built from the ground up to solve this problem. We are not a GP clinic that also does WorkCover. We are not a marketplace that connects you to doctors. We are a dedicated claims telehealth clinic — the first of its kind in NSW.
What We Do
Claims Doctor provides same-day telehealth video consultations with a doctor experienced in occupational and injury medicine. During the consultation, your doctor conducts a clinical assessment, discusses your capacity for work, and issues your Certificate of Capacity (WorkCover) or Certificate of Fitness (CTP).
The certificate is completed during the call and delivered digitally to you, your employer, and your insurer. There is no out-of-pocket cost with a valid claim number — we bill the insurer directly at SIRA-gazetted rates (WorkCover) or AMA rates (CTP).
Our Core Promise
Same-day consultation. Certificate issued during the call. $0 cost with a valid claim number. Accepted by every NSW insurer.
How the Billing Works
Claims Doctor bills your workers compensation or CTP insurer directly. For WorkCover claims, we bill at the rates gazetted by the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA). For CTP claims, we bill at AMA rates as permitted under the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017.
You do not pay anything out of pocket with a valid, active claim number. We handle all invoicing and insurer correspondence.
SIRA Compliance
Every Claims Doctor consultation meets SIRA telehealth requirements. All consultations are conducted via video (not telephone). Clinical appropriateness of telehealth is assessed for every patient. Patient consent is documented. Certificates use current SIRA templates and are completed with correct AMA item numbers suffixed with 'T' for telehealth delivery.
Our Medical Director has extensive experience in clinical governance, regulatory compliance, and medico-legal documentation. Certificates issued by Claims Doctor are designed to be accurate, compliant, and accepted by insurers without question.
Our Structure
Claims Doctor is operated by Health Data Research Pty Ltd (ABN 39 674 905 376). The clinic is led by Medical Director Dr Robert Laidlaw (MBBS, James Cook University), who brings experience across emergency medicine, neurosurgery, sports medicine, and clinical governance at the national and international level.
The clinic is registered at Level 1, 457–459 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, and operates primarily via telehealth with consultations available Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and weekends by appointment.
